Oh Sweet Celeste

By superchar, 12/18/2014 - 14:53

It's been fun introducing people who stop by the store to our Celeste by Jenco, a little known keyboard whose delicate sound has been featured on some of the greatest tunes in Rock history. As the reigning question regarding the Celeste is what is it? Our friend the talented music writer and musician Mike Bieber has so graciously written about it for us and you. Please read and come see for yourselves at Rock and Roll Supplies, thanks Mike!

Life on Bushwick Avenue

By superchar, 12/06/2014 - 15:34

Well it seems like a long time ago Hank made his last trip to Lowes at 10pm to get the right kind of screw right before they shut at 11, and that was last Saturday. Then Sunday came and we were open, just like that. Friends made pilgrimmages from other neighborhoods and other states (yo Philly!) to make us a destination.

Open For Business!

By superchar, 12/01/2014 - 14:44

So the long road we started last April has led us here. 176 Bushwick Avenue home of Rock and Roll Supplies Inc is open and ready to serve the rehearsing and gigging public. We are right across the street from the lovely and scenic Bushwick Hotel on Bushwick and Stagg and within a noise complaint of the Acheron Club and The Anchored Inn. Also The Sweatshop Studios are rediculously close.

Join Us For Our Soft-Serve Opening! (Rome was not built in a day)

By superchar, 11/25/2014 - 15:13

Well, this is it rockers! This Sunday November 30th WE ARE OPENING ready or not. We are leaning a little towards this side of not ready, but we figure you'll understand and grow with us. Just think of us as the Bodega of Rock and Roll Supplies, we'll definitely have batteries, strings, picks and Advil! And a few of cool-ass guitars that will hopefully be on hooks.

GET READY! (take two)

By superchar, 11/10/2014 - 12:06

Hello all you anxiously awaiting rockers! I realize we posted earlier with the best of wishful intentions that we would be open by this weekend, but between Hank being so busy with the Allman Brother's last shows at the Beacon and Kiss in Las Vegas we got a little behind, so the new opening day will be Sunday November 30th! And we will be open whether we are ready or not, hey ya gotta start somewhere.

Get Ready

Not sure what we have planned yet but come on by and at the very least we'll give you a cup of coffee and a donut. Sounds good? Mark your calendars

Hank, Layla and Farmer

By superchar, 10/22/2014 - 19:20

It's a little like holding Excalibur. During his time working with The Allman Brothers Band at The Beacon, Hank does have his moments when he gets to rub shoulders with legends like Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Jaimoe Johanson and Butch Trucks but here is something that is giving me chills miles away from The Beacon here in Brooklyn; moments spent with the beautiful Goldtop Duane Allman played on "Layla" Oh magic Goldtop, bless us...In the background a chair stands in for another legend, the dear too recently departed Farmer.
